The volunteer's assisted in set-up, sign-up, and other activities that assisted in the event execution. All proceeds from Home Sweet Home benefited the local organization Community Call. April 20, 2013 Global Days of Service
BU AH&LA participated in the Global Days of Service as the Earth Day initiative to clean up the Charles River area for Boston citizens who use the esplanade for many reasons such as walking, running, biking, picnicing, playing games, etc. This was great event because it gave a chance for the members to give back to the community in a relaxed environment (whereas we have been doing many professional development events throughout the year). Also, given the recent events in the community, it was a great way to get together as an entire community and work with other volunteer groups to show love for not only the entire planet but also for Boston.
